85 - 90 Front Lip

I have an 84 Camaro and I don't really care for the front lip...it looks like it has teeth or something.

I was wondering if the 85 - 90 lip would be a direct bolt-on or would it even fit properly? I like how its smooth and simple.

Hmm. I don't know if it'll bolt directly to the 84 nose or not. I know that the nose is different, I just don't know whether the differences will effect the lower valance mounting. I have a feeling that the radius on the front corner is different, so even if it bolts up it may not look right.

It's too bad you don't like the stock one. I always felt that's what gave the 82-84 it's unique character.

I am doing the same thing to my 84. I have a clapped 87 Z28 parts car, so it will be fairly straightforward. My car is sitting right now with everything stripped off down to the radiator support.

You will need the bumper cover, bumper, bottom spoiler, as well as the ducting to the radiator. The "smooth" front covers change the car to a bottom feeder, in other words the radiator has to get its cooling airflow from near the ground. The front spoiler deflects it up and into it. Notice on your 84 how it flows directly through the bumper cover.

Also, if your car does not have ground effects, that is an entirely different problem. The front bumper ground effects can be removed, but I'm not sure how that would look....
