Angry 84 Z28 Heater core probs? PLEASE HELP

I have an 84 Z28.......Its My BABY....My heater core is slowly leaking threw my dashboard, making a little puddle on the carpet, mainly on the passenger side because thats were the core is located. MAN.......I do not want to rip out my FRIGEN dash,is there any way I can stop this from leaking. Is there a heater core Stop Leak on the market that works?......& if not ,I live in Florida,so I dont even need the heater,Is there anyway to bypass is by connecting the 2 hoses together........PLEASE HELP

Well I'm going off of memory here but yes it's easy to bypass the heater core. I did this to my old '84 Z several years ago, I too had the puddling in the passenger footwell.

Simply just look on the passenger side of the firewall where the two hoses go into the firewall unplug 'em both and either connect the two hoses with a coupler or plug one hose lead into the base of the other hose.

Easy as that (remember to bleed out any air when done).
Obviously the heater will no longer create any heat, but then again you're in Florida...

Its not really that hard to change out the heater core. I did them on my 84, 83, and 87 Z-28's. Its only the top bolt that is a pita. everything else is simple. All you have to do is take off the underside dash panel. Then take the black box off covering the heater core, this is where the pita top screw is located. After that just take out a couple more screws then you can take it out.
