i bought an 86 camaro with a carbed, 305 v8 and i believe a 700r4 tranny. i got it running but it shifts hard i checked the fluids and it was full should i change the fluid? or could it be something worse. i just need to know if i should take it to get rebuilt or change the fluid.

You need to explain what you mean by "shifting hard". Could be an aftermarket trans. or have a shift kit installed. In that case this would be "normal".

 

Honestly I have no idea if it is aftermarket or not
But when I put it in reverse it kinda takes a sec and then the car jumps into gear hard
When it is in neutral it idols (normal) then when I put it in reverse or anyother gear it idols low after the hard shift.
If it is normal then awesome. I just dnt want anything bad to happen. Thanks for ur help ill see if I can find out from the guy I bought it from
