76cc torquers on a 350. worth it?

i can get a used set of 76cc world products s/r torquers for a descent price. They would be going on my l98 block, with a cam to match, and a new intake to support the flow. The heads have been milled down to 72cc's. I am also on a very limited budget

What kind of power can i make out of these?

76cc heads will lower your compression, factory head is 64cc,if you instal a turbo, blower or n2o you will be fine but norm.aspirated you will slow the car down a bit....

How much power you will make depends on how much money you have, what supporting mods you have, and what intake you plan to use.

already have slp headers and full 3" mandrel bent y-pipe. The intake is going to be a stealth ram.

I guess the bigger combustion chamber is going to kill me unless i get pistons which i cant afford.

Get the heads angle milled to 58cc to get the compression back up.

ok for starters your kinda screwed.you jumped way high on the cc over what you had and any hp gains these heads would make you just lost by a much lower cc ration.as far as getting them milled down more youll have to check with world to see the max you can mill these heads,i doubt you can reach 58 cc,and anytime you mill you remove metal.never good.......
also say what you want about these heads, theyre not bad, even good heads youll be lucky with a 40-50 hp gains max(except full out port)id only expect 30 hp if you kept same compression.i these heads ar emore or less a good street head for guys who want more power but dont want to go exotic with all the remaing componenets.
unless you can bring compression back up,youll never be happy, especially when you get all the work done.
new pistons?are you nuts, you cant just slap a new set in,thats basically a rebuild, and if your going to do that id seriously consider selling these heads and geting a different set.imo

96,you sure about the 64 ccs, seems high but ill go with it if you say so,high meaning high compression.
torquer guy ,heres what you did by putting those big cc heads on,least assume you had 64 cc heads, not taking head gasket into account or valve releif ,just straight numbers of ccs and displacement, your stock engine ,excluding gasket had a theoretical comp ratio of 11.2-1.we al lknow it wasnt an actuall ratio but im using this to show you the changes,ok you milled your heads to 72 cc,that drops your comp ratio to 9.9-1...well over 1 full point of compression and in terms of powwe rthats huge...fyi

Every magazine dyno test I've seen using the 64cc s/r torquers has been a bust. Only a little more hp than stock heads. They always end up making excuses for them, not matched to the rest of the combo, etc, blah, blah. Not worth the money IMO... and 72cc heads that give you lower compression might show ZERO overall power gain.

Look at the flow #s and you'll see the real reason these aren't much better than stock:

Take note of the critical (for street engines) flow #s @ .300 & .400 lift. Notice how much better the Vortecs flow here on the intake. IMO torquers aren't worth the time/money/effort to put these on your engine.

After you're done milling them that much, the intake manifold and the front accessories wont line up with the holes in the heads any more.

Yes, stock L98 iron f-body heads are 64cc combustion chambers.
