Once I get the T56 in my RS, what 4th gen console can I use? Is there one that will bolt right in? From what I've read they bolt into Firebirds but I can't find anything about Camaros. Thanks

I don't know if they will fit, but you never know. I'd say find some people w/ 4th gens and take some measurements. There are three kinds of Consoles that are available in 4th gens though, 93-96 Camaro Style, 93-96 Firebird Style, and 97-02 Firebird/Camaro style. Find someone w/ each and get a tape measurer and some paper! You'd probably have to do some custom fabrication though, but it shouldn't be too bad. Good luck!

 

I have a 4th Gen console in my car.

It bolts right in, no problems. BUT...you do have to come up with something for the HVAC controls and the radio, since in 3rd Gen Camaros its all included in the console piece. In Pontiacs, the HVAC stuff and the radio is in a "pod" by itself. That makes it a lot easier to swap the console in and have it look good.

I have yet to see anyone with a 3rd Gen Camaro with a 4th Gen console in their car. I've seen pictures of lots of Pontiac cars but no Camaros.
