This stroker project has already started. Just curious if anybody here has done this . It will have 10:1 comp. , 6.385 rods, 256/264 at 050 714/714 solid roller, worked over 781's w/2.19/188 valves. This big block will not be built by me, but I am sure to help with all the issues that will arise. The 383 is history-sold. Having a thirdgen big block is one thing, but having it be a stroker big block is sweeeet! I will need to upgrade every part of the drivetrain . My newly bought 700r4 "the punisher" and 3500 stall will have to go to make room for a th400. Any info on this swap is appreciated. If the 700r4 doesn't sell here locally I might give it a go with the tranny until it breaks(rated at 550hp).

 

How about pulleys, they are not going to fit correct?
