383?
i have a 93 camaro with an lt1 in it now. it was re-built and has only 10k miles on it. my thinking is that i could make the most money off of it right now. i was thinking about doing a 383 myself but, the money isn't there right now. so, i think i'm just going to buy a 383 someone has built. i was thinking of going with a 3rd gen 383. what do u guys think? it would cost 1500 to 2k. let me know. if not, what route should i go?

Maybe it's me but I can't tell what you are trying to say.
If you are talking about putting a Gen 1 SBC in you 93, I don't think that would work out good because you wiring harness is different from a 3rd gens wiring harness based on what I know. It would be a wiring nightmare trying to do that swap!
I think you would be better off putting a cam/headers & exhaust/tune on your LT1 motor.
If your talking about selling your 93 and buying a 3rd gen and dropping a 383 in, not a bad idea. Only problem I see is you don't know what is in the 383 without taking it apart. You would just have to take somebody's word for it. I did that once with a 350, bought it off a guy that said it had a cam and ran great and it turned out the motor had a burnt valve.

Only your entire wire harness because it will not just allow you do drop it in. I believe you will have do dent something to clear the engine itself. What are you trying to achieve? You will not see that much more power. Modded to the hilt L98s and LT1s produce about the same power with maybe 20HP total difference. Stock for stock, the LT1 has a better intake which you could buy a LT1 intake and modify it for a few bucks to fit on the L98.
You could slip in a stroker L98 for less effort. Too much expense (time and money) for too little gain. They are still both 350s anyway. The only thing you will gain is no distributor drag. If you change the intake to say a Superram or Stealthram, you will get about the same results whether you go LT1 or L98

The only problem with the L98 (stock TPI unit) is that the intake sucks. So, that means to get good performance, you will have to change the intake. If you wanted LT1 performance, change the cam and intake and you will have pretty close to LT1 performance. The reason to keep the L98 is that you can easily drop in an L98 and even a performance one. However, with an LT1, you would have to change all th wiring harnesses because the stock harness would not work and you would have to dent somethign or other to get the engine to fit in the bay. This means you will have to hammer it, lower the engine, lift the engine and hammer and repeat the process till the engine fits properly. After that you will have to get the correct harness and ECM and swap it all out. Now, if there was 100HP, I might be tempted however, I know I can have an L98 with a LT1 manifold and swap out the cam and come pretty close to if I shoehorned the LT1 in it.
