383-1piece rear seal, Lenco, in Triump?
I bought a 1979 triumph TR7 when i was 14. This was about 8 years ago. It ran when i bought it but parked it and never started it because shortly after that i picked up a 1973 SS Chevelle. I have 2-350 blocks sitting at the house. I am thinking about picking up a stroker kit and dropping a set of fast burn heads on it. Put this infront of a lenco transmission. I am wondering if anyone has ever seen or knows where i can find info on dropping a 350 in a triumph as it is really small. Also where can i get info on buying a lenco 4-speed tranny. Oh and does anyone have an idea on what price range i am going to be looking at. I figure about 1000-motor (in stock 350 form) about 1000 for body (need to re-run brake lines and custom fab motor mounts) 1100 to build a custom 9" rear by a friend of my fathers who races pro. But i have no clue on cost of tranny and if this combo will even fit without completly tearing car apart and putting back together.
Thanks,

my moms got a 71 spitfire in her garage that I thought the same thing about doin. but on that car the frame rails are nowhere near strong enough to hold the weight of a v8/tranny much less take the power they'd produce. youd need to make a tube chassis for it and new front suspension. those struts/springs a very tiny. and, why a lenco? I dont think those are ddriveable on the street, but dont really know. I know a light car like that wouldnt need any real strong tranny cause being lighter will put less strain into the drivetrain. you'd be fine w/a world class t5 or a t56.
