350 tbi

Ok so this weekend i m pickin up a 350tbi out of a 90 9c1 caprice.I was wonderin how good the heads were on them?And what kind of head gaskets could i get to make more compression?Also how will my comp from my 305 act to the 350 it has a tune from the mail but i also plan to get it dyno tuned.What kind of cams are made for these cars where can i look.thanks again

Umm, the heads on ANY tbi are the WORST you can get

The cam that was in your 305 isnt going to make the same power in the 350 b/c of the difference in cubic inches,but will be better than stock.

I would call comp and talk to them about TBI cams.You can look on their website but I dont think they have alot on TBI cams on it b/c they arent used frequently.

Yup it was a 305 tbi i dont see why it wouldnt atleast run so i can get it on a dyno later.

^Wow, that is a lot of power from STOCK TBI heads
But the reason that TBI's get such a bad rap is because they DO take a LOT of money, time, and knowledge to get them running good

I think i m going to try to lt4 hotcam with headers and bolt ons and better springs and maybe some head work i found a guy who does awsome work.
