350 Block identification
350 Block identification
Just wondering....I just bought a beater truck and it has a "201" 350 block. What does this number signify. It is in the same place that most blocks have "010"
Casting numbers don't mean much since the same casting can be used for many years on many different models. Specific castings such as the 010 are more desirable for their strength and metal alloy content. The 010 blocks have a high nickle alloy in them.
I also see the 201 casting as a 305 block but my listing have it from 80-84 in cars and trucks.
