350's were not available with 5 spd's beacause they could not handle the torque. All 350's were auto's with 3.23's. (I think)

305's came with a variety of gears but the most desirable one was with the G92 option that came with the TPI 305 5-spd (230 hp 300 torque or less depending on the year) and 3.42 gears.

Times were low 14's for the 350 auto and mid 14's for the 305 5-spd.

5-sp manual came factory stock only on v6 & v8 (305) cars. NO 350 Manual stock from the factory.

 

Don't know about later but in 84 you could get the M5 with 3:73 gears as a HP option.

 

You could get a 3.70 9-bolt rear behind the T-5 in '85, but only on carbed 305 cars. They eliminated the ratio in '86, making the 3.70 9-bolt a one-year option.
