I've been asking about exhuast/intake etc and about LT1 conversion. I think I'm gonna go for exhuast/intake and in the future when I have more time and money I might try putting an LT1 in. With that in mind....what headers/exhuast will work with both my 305TPI and on an LT1. I was told I could buy parts that woudl work on both.

 

I just did the conversion on my iroc, from l98 to lt1. I would recomend to buy the lt1 all at once instead of i parts only because it would be much cheaper. I bought my lt1 with 21k miles on it from the radiator to the drive shaft including the torque arm all for $1400. i Think i got a great deal, however i did spend another $1200 on a different wirring harnes that came with a performance chip in it. Anyways, all the 3gen headers and exhaust will bolt right up to an lt1, all the ports are in the same location as they are on the l98. Im going to buy some cheap edelbrocks fromj a friend right now, but im going to buy some hooker super comps for it eventually. You can also you us the same radiator as the l98 as on the lt1. Well i know you can from the set up i have. My 89 iroc had an l98 in it and the radiator worked with the lt1. everything else you will probably have to change but will probably come with the motor if you buy it all together for a take out car or something. The alternator/ powerstearing/ air conditioning will all have to be from the lt1. The l98 **** will notwork with the lt1.
