305 TBI swap to 350 TPI

just looking for suggestions for powertrain setups. i have a few in mind but im open to anything. I have a 92 camaro RS convertible. im not looking for 600RWHP but i want my new baby to have a nice *** if ya know what i mean. I looking at a chevy 350 w/ LT1 roating assembly maybe some aluminum vortec high flow heads buttoned to a 700R4auto..was thinking maybe a stealth ram intake but then again a stock TPI intake isnt a bad idea anyway. Like i said fellas im open to suggestions.

The L98 setup will be a great switch from the LO3. I just did mine, and it is a world of difference. You will be pleasantly surprised.

You WILL NOT get 600RWHP from a TPI motor without declaring backrupcy afterwards.

-Use another intake.
-Stroke it and get as many cubic inches w/ being safe....383 atleast.
-Your gonna need a power adder definately. If you want that power all the time I say go supercharged/turbocharged. If not then NOS will be a decent alternative. If it was me I'd go forced induction.

The TPI intake is great for stock/lightly modified cars but its very restrictive in flowing air passed 5000. The long runners make great torque but kill it as far as making HP.

First step, check the bank account and see what your budget is....then set a realistic HP goal.

maybe 600 rwtq with long tube runners, but 600 rwhp is not easily accomplished.

Maybe with a MR, SR, or HSR, 600 rwhp will be more easily reached, but with LTR it is almost impossible.

Definatly look into a supercharger or turbo charger, that will help out greatly.

The ZZ4 is a 350 with 355hp, or the fastburn 385 (based off the ZZ4) is rated at 385 hp, or even the ZZ383 which is rated at 425 hp.

If a big block is a thought, the ZZ454 is rated at 440 hp, the ZZ502 is rated at 502 hp, or the ZZ572/620 is rated at 620hp.

Of course, there is always the ever popular LS engines, LS1 at 350 hp, LS2 at 400hp, LS6 at 405hp, LS364 at 440hp, or LS7 at 505hp

Just throwing out some ideas.

Good luck in the swap.

Get some SFC to strengthen the chasis, they will work wonders. If possible, I have even seen people running 2 sets, like Spohn and Alstons (?) or something like that. I remember Spohn is one, but I dont remember exactally what the other one was.

For the motor, stroke the 350 to a 383, go with HSR, MR, SR intake with all the bolt-ons and you should be pretty close to where you want to be. And if not, you can always super/turbo or nitrous.

Good luck!
