2nd Gen threads on lugs the same as 3rd Gen?

I got lugs from a 2nd Gen car that fits my rims perfectly, but I want to make sure the threads are the same from an early 70s camaro to an 89 firebird. Thanks.

Dave's right. Bolt pattern is still 5 on 4-3/4" but the threads went from SAE to metric, requiring metric lug nuts.

Yes, you can exchange 15" wheels between 2nd and 3rd gen cars. The wheel offset is similar or identical. Putting 3rd gen 16" wheels on a 2nd gen is more difficult- front and rear wheel offest is different on the 16" wheels. You either want 4 FRONT 16" 3rd gen wheels to put on a 2nd gen or use a ~3/4" spacer when you put 16" 3rd gen REAR-type wheels on a 2nd gen.
