That puts the Convertables to Shame honestly if I was old enough in 88 I would've bought this speeder over a Convertable. To me it makes the car look more sportier and I don't know why GM didn't go full production on it.
Yea he definatly needs to fix that tach...but yea that car looks pretty pimp...if i had the money i would buy it....and yea that is true about all camaro's being 2 seaters, expecially when you 6'6" like me, and the seat is all the way back, it doesn't give much leg room back there, so thats why you throw some girls back there
That's a cool car. I like it better with the top down, but it's not bad with the top up.
They definitely shouldn't have done the ugly wood grain accents, and the gaudy chrome hinges on the rear decklid are WAY out of place.
I think it's a cool idea, and it appears to have been done well, just not done right.

I say do away with the "trunk lid" entirely and just raise the whole hatch-section to get stuff in and out. It's obviously a fair-weather car anyway...it's not like you'll be carrying much in it.
Also, the row of snaps across the back and sides looks terrible. There has to be a better way to hold the top down.
I bet it looks KILLER in black.

There were several companies that offered conversions on Camaros as early as 1983. Autoforms is but one of them. Almost all of these companies' conversions eliminated the rear seat and yes, the tops on these cars were hideous.
Is this car rare? Probably. But it is NOT a factory convertible so desirability is the issue, not rarity. What's it worth? There is no book value. It's definitely a gray area -- the market will dictate this.
The simulated woodgrain applique is aftermarket and like the convertible conversion, several companies make their own. One is still available thru Classic Industries and is offered in different wood grains. The one in this car is one of the "cheaper" kits. The woodgrain does not encircle the power window/hatch release buttons as does the nicer kits. It appears the applique on the stereo/heater is made of three pieces instead of one and is lacking the horizontal piece across the top of the heater controls. The better kit's part is one solid piece.
