1990 Iroc project update.

Almost done the motor needs to go back in and I have to have the Bose amps repaired.Follow the link to the pictures.

looks very nice, where did you get the headliner from as i'm looking for one to recover and not sure where to buy?

I recovered the old headliner myself. The repop ones are junk in my opinion.
It cost me $25.00 for the materials and about 1hour of my time.

you mind suggesting what you used for the board as the base to recover. i just removed mine and it was ruined in the rear by the people who built my cage so i need a new foundation to wrap.

I used the original fiberglass board It was in excellent condition.If your's is not to messed up you can glue it back together with weather strip adhesive. If you have cracks in it you can repair them with duct tape.

Headliner looks great. What kind of material and glue did you use, if you don't mind me asking. I need to do mine. Mine's not torn, it's just sagging in a few places.

I used a product called autotex it's the cloth with the foam backing attached, you should be able to find it at any upolstery supply store.

There are no words to give justice to what yo have done. SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

I have added your link to my fav's to use as a reference for when I do that to my GTA in a year or two.

I'm in Yorba Linda too. Do you take the car out much? I'd love to see it up close. I'm looking to get back into a 3rd gen soon and I could use some inspiration!

my board was more cardboard in orientation.. definately not fiberglass. i'll have to look it up. thanks.

you have done the ultimate restoration i have seen on a 3rd gen,the color is simply the best but i am biased due to my 88 iroc being that color from the factory it got totaled a few years back and is missed bad!great job!
