1990 Camaro 6-Clyinder for 500 bucks, is it worth it?

Im taking a class for computers and this army vet wants to sell his camaro for 500 bucks, the only problemes i can find are that it dosent have a stereo, and the radiator may need to be changed, other than that it rides smooth idels smooth, interior is in good shape, comes with an extra set of t-tops, and the ones on there dont leak. so for 500 bucks is it worth it?

Absolutely! Go for it!

I don't know how big a fan of the V6 you are, but a buddy of mine works at a shop that makes custom headers for the 3rd gens with V6's.

Thumbs up

From the way you describe it, there's probably a minimum of $1000 worth of parts on this car. Or you could spend a few hundred bucks fixing it up and then sell it at a profit.

Or you could just drive it.

are there any common problems with this year in particular that i should look for? It gonna be a daily driver for a while untill the weather starts acting normal then ill break out the Z again. but i think it would be a good daily driver.

No obvious problems come to mind. 90 is kind of a rare, low-production year. It was the last year of the Iroc and the first year for air bags.

hell yeah. id buy it. if u want to use it as a daily driver, the 2.8/3.1/3.4 engine is one of the most reliable engines i have ever owned(last one had 210,000 original miles on it.)

or it would be a good V8 engine swap project.

i say, go for it!

If you want her, i'll be selling her really soon as soon as i get the new clutch put in, she has the 3.1 in here. and has been taking care of really well, i think i'm going to repaint her, and realign the ground effects.
