The only one I know of right off hand was the fuel filler neck, the welds weren't that great and has been known on a few cases to catch fire. Just get on a search engine and do a search it should bring up the info.

I heard, just heard, that there was a recall to do with the seat belts on 82-92 f-bodies. I don't know this for a fact, but my friend brought it up!!!

On my previous 92 Camaro, it was only the tranny cable and gas neck thing, neither were bad....

I had this one done. They replace all 4 buckles because over time the parts inside wear out and this shows when the buttons get faded over time. My buckle acually broke and my seat belt got stuck in there, I had to rip it out which brought a spring from inside with it. I had to drive around for a week without a seat belt until they got the parts for the recall.
Re: Recall info...
Thanks guys for bringing this up. I was waiting till I get some time to drop my fiances' gas tank and fix or replace it. I have had her put no more than a half tank in her 92 firebird and it's leaking near the filler neck. Will that recall still be valid? Guess I am going to call Pontiac tomorrow.

http://www.tsb.com works too
I had no idea the recall on the belts was that old. So what do I have to do, just go to a chevy dealer and ask them to put the new stuff in? There is also one listed on TSB about reduced parking brake effectiveness. Mine sounds like it might fall into that category as well. Thanks guys!

all you need to do is go into a chevy dealership and tell them you want to check on recalls. Tell them you know of the seatbelt recall and want to check on others. (86 i think is only the seatbelts) but they will take your vin and run it and do whatever needs to be done.
I had a problem with the pontiac guy today. I called in the vin on my womans car today and he ran it. He called back and said her car was in the year the campaign (recall) involved the gas tank filler neck problem. But then he says the computer can't find if the work was done. Don't you think if the work was done the damn tank wouldn't leak. Then he says that the car is old the recall is old and hard to track down and he will have to track down some regional Pontiac guy and ask him to contact me. Does this sound like a run around or what? What should I do guys? Is this recall definitely still valid or is there a possibillity they don't have to fix the car? Anyone know if I can contact a Main Pontiac guy or something?
Thanks guys

It is the dealers obligation for safety concerns brought up by the transportation safety whatever to fix problems that can be dangerous no matter the age of the vehicle. And as for the seat belts only having warranty for 86 cars, that is not true. I brought my 2000 silverado in for warranty work on the rear end, and because of larger tires I put on the truck they voided my warranty
However one of my other complaints was the seat belt sticking and not returning properly, they fixed that problem without even telling me because it was a safety issue. I also didn't like the way the seat belts in my 87 Z were faded to pink even though they worked perfectly, they replaced them all because of the recall. If any of you want new seat belts for your camaro, make an appointment and get them. ( Why not)
