Were all SBC's 1987+ made with a hydraulic roller cam? Such as a Van engine?

 

Some of the trucks and vans were non-roller, although the blocks still had the provisions for a roller cam. GM just decided it would be cheaper to use flat-tappet lifters.

 

Even some F-bodies weren't roller engines in 87. I've personally seen 2 87 LG4 cars without a roller block or cam. One was a known original engine car, and the other was in a junkyard. They did have centerbolt valve covers though...
