1984 lg4 cam swap

curious what it takes to turn it into a roller motor so my friend can swap in a stock lt1 cam...?

I think all you would need are retro-style roller lifters. But they arent cheap. If your gonna shell out the cash for the lifters, you might as well go ahead and spend the cash for a cam with a little more ***** than an LT1 cam

Thanks for the info a few more questions though..... whats special about them that makes them expensive and how expensive are they? Where can I find them too? Whats a good sized cam to put in it my friend said he wants the power to peak around 5500 which to me is really low but meh he says he loves low end but maybe I can convince him to go a lil higher, its only got like 50k on the original motor too

As to why they are so expensive, I guess they are hard to produce. Jegs or Summit both sell several brands. Just make sure when you call and order them you make sure they are for pre-87 non-roller blocks.

Pertaining to teh cam, Im not that great with cam grinds someone else could give you better info there. But Im sure your gonna spend better than $200 on the lifters so you may as well put in a bigger cam than the stock LT1 cam.
