1 word....NO. 18's make our cars look 4 wheel drive. i would go w/ 17's and lower it. 17" chrome IROC wheels would look killer on a slammed 3rd gen...

lower? my car scrapes the ground driving on prectiacally flat ground! and i do agree with the 17" to 15" inch wheels, anything else would look rediculus.

i saw kandied91z's car, and i think those are 18's, and it looks pretty good.....i was also thinking 17's and lowered, btu i scrape the way it is, so that is why i was kinda thinking 18's.....i guess i could just be more careful....beucase the main strip in our town is bumpy as hell..and they refuse to redo it because they are afraid the kids are gonna turn it into a drag strip, and just the other weekend, i put a pipe in where my cat was, and it sagged a littel bit, and they guys said my car was throwing sparks all the way down the strip...i should just get air bags .....

daily driver....just for fun car i'd go 17's because of the reduction in rotational weight (makes car faster then the larger wheels) as well as less chance of bending a rim when running comparable tire height.

however...18-19-20 all can be done and look right on the thirdgen if the tire and rim application is perfect. lowering is key to how an 18+ rim and tire comob will sit however on our cars. anything higher then a 1.5" drop from stock height (new springs...not 100,000 mile stock springs) and you'll get that suv stance so many refer to.

as far as the bags.........give me a week or two.

camaro 05, those are 18" z06 rims right? they look awesome!!!!How much do wheel adapters cost?

kandied91z, make sure you update us when you get the bags....i want to get bags too this winter, but i haven't really looked into costs, how much would a full kit cost? Do you ever bring your car up to green bay WI for any car shows...I think you live in the area?

no i don't go to WI for shows.....however i'm all over michigan, indiana, ohio, IL, etc.

as far as the bags it depends but expect to pay 1,000-1500 in just parts. unless your running a coilover setup and want to keep the same with bags then you will need custom strut bags which aren't out........yet. air ride is building them off of my car for retail so they should be available soon. we'll see how it goes.
