We cannot get polished rims on SS/RS????

I placed my order, and the dealer system would not let the dealer order the polished rims on my SS/RS car. Per another site that combination is NOT available. WTF???????

To get my polished rims I'm going to have to drop my RS package I guess. This ain't right.....

Listen to the recent Podcast, we talk about it there.

By the time production starts, you may be able to change that. They are aware it is wanted. Between now and February, things CAN change, and respectful words can help change them. Those petitions to make a blue color? They might actually work. Feel free to start one for your concerns. Again...respectful...

If not, there will be plenty of people ready to trade here.

Well, I don't know how to start a poll, and anything on the main page where it would be seen by all members gets moved back here to the tire and wheel section. Hopefully most interested buyers will move back to this section and post their concern after reading the header on this post.

So if its going to help any....everybody else please feel free to chime in with your opinion on this problem. I don't want to give up my RS package to get polished rims, but I will if I have to.

I don't want to get involved with swapping rims, remounting tires etc. at a later date.

This just in...

The policy was changed due to enthusiast demand! You WILL be able to place an order for 20" polished wheels WITH the RS package. It will take a few days the system to be updated but those who placed their order will be able to change it. GM does listen, they just cannot always comply. Those who want blue on their SS? Speak up, that is also something that may be able to be changed with enough voices!

We will update our Camaro Builder to allow this as well.

Thank you Jason for your accurate information on this matter. And thank you for the update.

I actually will sleep better tonight knowing I will be able to get my car exactly as I want it and without compromising my RS package. Good work GM and all administrators for these sites.

Interesting.

If I were ordering, both the polished wheels and the blue color would be what I'd choose.

I ordered my SS yesterday, the 20th and could not get the polished 20's with the RS package. I'll go back and try again in a couple of days, not sure how
the dealer will handle me cancelling my order and reordering to get this combination. I'll let you guys know how this pans out.
I may just accept it and stay with what I ordered, the RS package as it stands adds about $1200 to the SS cost. Thats pretty steep just to get the lights.

I don't believe you have to cancel the order, it can be changed up until just before is is preferenced.
