Question Two sets of wheels?

I have ordered a RS/SS & opted for the 21inch black painted wheels. I have been told by my dealer that the RS 20 inch wheels will be returned to Chevrolet once they install the 21s. I have heard a few that have placed similar orders say that they are getting to keep the 20s & plan to sell them themselves. Can anyone confirm this one way or another?

Tell them to kiss your butt. If they were a thousand dollars less, I might consider it an upgrade, but for what they want for them you can buy those wheels and tires outright. You paid for those 20's when you bought the car...they're yours.

Try this....ask them how much it would cost for you to buy them and come pick them up.
I could be true, but it smells like BS to me. If that's the case, wait a few months and buy something aftermarket for about the same price and sell the others.

im almost positive that you get to keep the stock wheels. if they try to say you have to exchange them, just wait a week after you have your car and buy the wheels later. you probably will be able to buy the same wheels on line for hundreds less anyways.

I assume the 21" wheels don't come with tires, right?

I spoke with the dealership today & they now have confirmed that I will get to keep the 20 inch wheels/tires that come on the car.

That's good, because otherwise they'd be stealing them from you.

Those people were uninformed. You pay a certain price for the car, and that includes the factory wheels and tires. You own those. The 21" wheels/tires are a dealer accessory. If you pay for them, you own those too. There is no implicit surrender of your ownership of the original wheels and tires involved in the purchase of the 21" ones.
