Squealing brakes

Still have the same anoying squealing brakes on my 2SS RS. Now the dealer is going to change the brake pads. Will see if this in fact works. I am not at all pleased with the solution thus far. The dealer ship is trying to correct the problem so hats off to them.

Brembo high performance brakes tend to do this. You'll find owners of high priced prestigious makes with the same complaint. We have had some good success with clients using the following bedding procedure.

Without coming to a full stop...

reach a cruising speed of 40 miles an hour and stand on the brakes HARD down to 20

reach a cruising speed of 50 miles an hour and stand on the brakes HARD down to 20

reach a cruising speed of 60 miles an hour and stand on the brakes HARD down to 20

drive a couple more miles to let the brakes cool before coming to a complete stop. An empty stretch of highway late at nigh or early in the morning will work as you are not speeding, but you are driving erratically so be careful. This won't take long and for most people it works well. Give it a try and let up know the results.

Pete, you are referring to the factory Brembo brakes and factory pads, right?

Correctamundo. The way I treat my Cobalt Friction pads would probably melt the OE pads.
