Paint the rims

I'm having a hard time finding all black 20" wheels for my Red Jewel 2SS. The dealer's body shop is painting on my black rally stripes, and I asked him if he could paint the rims too?

Would this be a viable option? I saw on Spike TV MuscleCar that they painted some chrome wheels black.

Will this paint hold over time? What kind of paint warranty should I expect from the dealer?

Every shop is different. What did they say when you asked them?

painting the wheels like that is what most places do when wheels are custom made. some places may powdercoat also. do either one. or if you dont want to paint them , check out on line. there are places that sell painted stock wheels.

i checked a couple of places around town for the wheels. trouble is, there are only so many types that will fit over the huge brake calipers. getting the right look was very hard.
since i'm getting my rally stripes painted on, i asked the guy if he could also paint the tires. he said NO PROBLEM!.. i was very surprised, needless to say. i asked for a black mat finish, and can't wait to see how they turn out. plus, saving some serious $$$ too!

paint the tires? you meen the wheels im sure.
theres all kinds of wheels out that will fit over the brakes. anything above a 19" will fit. but it has to be a wheel for a camaro. you cant just take a 19" wheel from a mustang or a corvette and expect it to fit. the offset is the really important in the wheel.
