Nexen N3000 tires

Does anyone have any experience with these tires. Looking to get a set 22" rims and was looking at these tires. I need 265/30R22s up front and 295/25R22s in the rear. These won't be for track use just for show and cruising. Thanks for any input.

Never really heard of Nexen. Then again, I am a die-hard Nitto guy.

i havent heard any bad feedback about them...but i havent heard any good feedback either. id go with Nitto Invo or even falken over nexen. ive learned from buying cheap tires........dont go cheap on the tire....go cheap on the wheel....if you have to choose.

Don't go TOO cheap on the wheel. If you have to choose, choose none and stick to factory until you can swing both a decent quality tire AND wheel from a known company. As they say "so much is riding on your tires" (and wheels).

Re: Nexen N3000 tires

well, theres a difference between a cheap $ wheel and a cheap wheel. ive seen a very cheap set of wheels, like we were talking about at BBOMG, the Forgestar and even the TSW nurburgring. about 1300 a set.....thats cheap...but a great wheel. so if possible...go for the ..less..expensive wheels and get the better tires.

Agreed. I have seen some seriously junk wheels that make me nervous just looking at them.

Re: Nexen N3000 tires

Heh..caught and fixed my typo. Nah...my Forgelines are top-notch, I am 100% happy with them.

What I am saying is...go to SEMA and take a look at some of the wheels on display from some companies with names that you have never heard of or can even pronounce correctly. Just dangerous looking.

I have Forgelines and Nitto NT05 for days at the track. I'm getting a set of Lexani wheels for a good price. I spent a lot of $$ on my Whipple install. I just want the 22s for car shows and cruises.
I've heard Nexen tires a cheaper because they have low overhead. I haven't heard anything bad and they had decent reviews. I ordered them from www.onlinetires.com already. These are the rims I'm buying.

So I got the tires mounted on the rims today. The tires I'll give a good week or two driving on before I judge. Not sure if having 620RWHP helps. Here's some pics.

Re: Nexen N3000 tires

with that kind of power, you should have gone a bit wider in the rear. im running a 305 but i need to run a 315 and im only pushing 460rwhp. those tires probably wont hook up for $hit.

Re: Nexen N3000 tires

Any wider and it would push in the corners horribly...that is...if there is any performance driving involved that isn't in a straight line.
