Got jack?

OK here's another dumb question:
I know the SS doesn't come with a spare tire, does it have a jack?

In my other posts I was trying to debate what to do for the winter for tires.
I pretty much decided I was going to get an extra set of aftermarket wheels and stick some all-seasons or winter tires on them.
Then I can carry one around when we go on a trip as a spare.
But now I figure I'm going to have to add a lug wrench and jack in the trunk.

I saw other people stated they had AAA so they didn't need a spare.
For driving around town that's fine, but if we go on a trip further from home and you get a flat you might get stuck somewhere for a while.
Even if AAA comes out to get you, they might not be able to get the correct replacement tire right away.

Just thinking out loud, it's not like I'm going to be on a Hot Rod Power Tour every day!

i didnt notice one when i was looking through the trunks. but i dont know for sure. i dont think there would be one included since there isnt a spare tire. as far as if you go on a road trip and get stuck they want you to use the gm roadside service which is free. but as far as a jack, i dont think there would be one since there isnt a spare tire to put on the jacked up car.

I wonder if the owner's manual even bothers to recommend a jacking point.

The V6 comes with a spare, correct? So it should be in the manual.

This is what is under the floorboards in the SS. Tire inflator and the spool for the air hose. There's room for a donut spare if that wasn't in there, like the V6 will have. If you've got a small jack, you might be able to fit it in here...

if your that concerned about having a jack why not just buy one from a chevy dealer or on ebay, from a 4th gen? put some velcro on it and put it in the spare tire hole.

If you're going to buy a jack to put in there, why not buy a compact hydraulic floor jack or bottle jack instead of the crappy factory scissor jack?
