Different tread patterns

Thinking about running two different types of p zeros with new wheels to fit... What is the downside of having two different patterns? Or even types of wheels if I went with something else for wider rears?

Re: Different tread patterns

running differnet wheels(other than stock) is fine.only issue you may have, which i do, is if you run a wider wheel, you will notice the car pull a bit whenever you drive. with my wheels, i notice my car pulls and moves quite a bit from the grooves in the road. before with smaller tires, they just stayed in the grooves but now that their a bit wider, its hard for the car to find a natural spot to drive. so it walks around .
as far as tires...i dont know a problem with running different tires. i guess if thats what your set on, make sure the different tires are on front and back, not left and right. on my old trans am, i ran bfgoodrich comp ta on the read and different bfg's up front. never did much racing with them so i never noticed a difference.

Just my opinion....Never did like running different tread patterns or new & old tires.

Re: Different tread patterns

Would different tread patterns screw with the traction control? I've heard this is the case with all-wheel-drive vehicles and am curious if it applies to traction control.

Re: Different tread patterns

that shoudlnt have anything to do with traction control. the traction control cant sense if you have matching tires on.
