One thing for sure is that the 440HP for the C7 almost certainly will not happen! My guess and according to rumors is that the C7 will be lighter/smaller/more power with better fuel economy. Either way it will be another winner for GM and the engine will most likely trickle down to the next generation Camaro, which will make that a better car as well. Who cares what the displacement will be for the next gen small block V8? I personally think it will be higher than 5.5, but that is just my opinion!

You will certainly see DI very soon. They want to use it in the C6R but cant because it isn't on the production car, like it is in the other cars of GT2 class. They used it in one race, did well, and then other teams complained about it so they had to scrap it for now. Though they have certainly been developing it for when they can use it, and allow that tech to trickle to the production cars.

He read something in one of those dopey Corvette enthusiast rags (seriously, has anyone ever thumbed through some of them? ), took it as gospel, and now won't budge from it.

You have to dumb down quite a bit to digest the info in most of the auto rags you read now days ... which is very similar to the BS that is so common on this site.
