Vararam CAI

If anyone is interested, they will be closing pre-orders Monday. Here is the link to get on the list http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29331. I did lots of research and this seems to be the best one out there.

the nicest one i have found is from bwoodyperformance.com. gives you about 30 hp to the wheels with a tune.

They have a nice one, but the Vararam is actually a true Ram Air. The problems I see with the Bwoody are removal of washer reservoir and the cold air intake is very low. Where I live it tends to flash flood the main roads due to improper drainage, Vegas was the same way. I would hate to hydro lock my car because of that. Just my opinion though...

it comes with a new washer resevoir. that may be a true ram air, its not the same as the b woody. it is a true cold air kit. pulling air from the same area of the car( bottom), b woody is just on one side as opposed to the middle.
does that kit suck from between the radiators?

Actually you have to purchase a new reservoir, its a about $120, unless you go with a crappy universal kit for about $70. The Vararam pulls "cold air" from in front of the radiator/condensor not between. It is kinda of like the New Era but I think a little better because 1. Its plastic 2. It is a true ram air setup. Do you have the BWoody setup?

Something in me doubts that figure.

I think the key words are "with a tune". I can see the Bwoody achieving that figure.

actually the true cold air kits they were selling were with the washer fluid resevoir. it was included in the price. and i think it was 400 comething. just shy of 500. no i do not have one. im getting twin turbos installed and i dont need to buy and intake for it.

BWoody Performance 2010 Camaro Gen V Cold Air Intake
[220.3003] $429.99

Fits all Gen V Camaro's with 6.2L V8

The MAF was re-located to read a higher velocity charge, resulting in more power, This is a TRUE cold air intake The filter is located outside of the engine bay behind the lower portion of the front bumper.

No tuning required!!!

Flowbench results:
*Results as follows at 28" of water:
*oem intake w/oem filter = 748.7 cfm
*90mm BWoody Camaro Short ram intake = 1087.9 cfm
*Flowbench results showed a whopping 339.2 cfm increase over the OEM airbox!!

Don't let other Manufactures try to fool you with their over priced intake claiming it needs a shield around the filter to keep engine heat out, IT DOES NOT WORK!!! Temps in the engine bay will remian the same on both sides of their heat shield!!!

Dyno results:
We Achieved an average of 17whp over the OEM Intake without a tune!! With a tune and the Cold Air Intake we Achieved 38.9WHP!!! Results showed that the short ram intake actually picks up more power on the dyno, but in a real world situation on the street the Cold AIr Intake always prevails!!
These are not OVER blown results like everyone else isclaiming with their intake, Anyone can manipulate dyno readings WE DO NOT!!! Results may vary.

Color shown is Stamped Steel with black couplers.

Removal of the OEM washer resevior bottle is required, we do offer an optional Billet aluminum washer bottle for an additional charge it comes in a standard Gloss Black powdercoated finish, when purchasing the washer bottle with the Cold Air intake Powdercoating is free so please let us know in the drop down boxes below what free color you would like your washer bottle. Pictures of the washer bottle are located in the Camaro section.

Or you can choose the Vibrant Universal washer tank a 1.2 quart capacity in the drop down box below Below.

Info on the vibrant washer tank:
The Factory windshield washer bottle installed on most vehicles is generally very large and takes up a lot of precious engine bay space. Many people will remove it and hope they will never need it in order to make space for whatever aftermarket upgrades they plan to do.
Vibrant now offers a selection of compact universal washer bottle kits that include everything needed to replace your OEM bottle and free up space.
- each kit includes:
- Washer Bottle
- Electric Pump
- Electric Plug with Wire
- Mounting Bracket
- length of hose to adapt to the factory system

Standard colors are silver and wrinkle black, silicone couplers are black. If you wish to have a custom color please choose in the drop down boxes below. If you don't see the color you want please contact us we have over 150 colors instock.

colors on actual parts can be found here: http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334805

That sounds like a good deal. I wonder if it was the good or cheap tank? How much is the TT setup going to run?

when i saw that listing it was on ebay. they said it was only going to be that price for a few listings then the price was going up.

the twins setup is going to run around 7000. not installed or tuned. about 500 for tunning and if i install it, free. if the company installs it that is going to tune it, i dont know exactly yet.
