Rearend?
I havent followed the development that much of the new camaro, but what kind of rear will be in it?

|
Have we heard anything on gearing?
|
3.27 for everything but the manual SS which will be 3.45 in the rear end. If you go to chevy.com/camaro there's a specifications PDF if you want to see each of the ratios for the transmissions.

Ok thanks!

Axle ratio
I ordered an SS today with an auto trans and the paperwork lists the axle ratio as 3.45, so I'm assuming that all the SS's have the same ratio.
|
I haven't seen anything to indicate different.

The spec says on page 3: Hydramatic 6L80E speed automatic(SS) w/Tapshift .... Final Drive Ratio: 3.27 |
Does anyone know the ring gear diameter on these?

Question: Who will be supplying the axle? ZF, Saginaw, Dana. Any schematics?

8.8" |
Does anyone make different ratios for this rear end. From what I remember reading the 3.45 and tall tires provide for 54mph in first gear, I would guess that a change in gear ratio would give a dramatic increase 0-60 and 1/4 ets.

no aftermarket gears are made for this diff yet
