Ls9 Z28
If the former then I could see them doing something crazy like a 500+ cubic inch LSX based motor, maybe even supercharged, just for bragging rights.
If the latter then I could definitely see them building an LS9 car.
Just as a specialty car or something that has a chance of making it into production?

You're right, I think it will be mainly Camaro enthusiasts that buy that car. It will have more power than the base Corvette, but will be heavier as well...tough decision.
I think that either the LS8 or the LSA will get the nod' for the top-of-the-line V8. I don't know that an LS9 is necessary given all it's exotic parts. That is a supercar engine and the Camaro, as much as I love it, is not a supercar. I could easily see an LSA do the job since it's already developed for the CTS-V and doesn't carry super-expensive Ti parts. If it's power you're after, it's easy enough to pulley-up.
I'd be SUPER happy with an LSA (or even and LS8) and would plan on only adding and intake, pulley, catback, and dyno' tune, as far as the engine mods' go. Shoot; I'm sure close to 600 horse could be achieved and be pretty reliable.

You can rest assured that GM Performance will stuff a LS9 into a 4th gen car and have it out on the Hot Rod Power Tour next summer...take a look at what they have brought to the Tour the last few years and you will see the trend.
I got no complaints with having the Ls3 as an engine for the Camaro. But I will admit some options would be nice. But again, I would be content with the Ls3 (so long as AFM isn't a manditory function...)
