Fast Lane or Hennessy ???

Hey whats up all !! I have big plans for my new SS. I plan on getting 600+ hp out of it, and live very close to Houston,TX. This is my toy and not a daily driver. It will be used to smoke some vetts, mustangs, and challangers on the weekend , and to just play in !!!

I have narrowed it down to two places to bring my car to. We have Fast Lane who have set some records with the new LS3 motor, and we have Hennessy. Now there are lots of other shops, but I have narrowed it down to these two after ALOT of research.

Before anyone goes off on me, about doing the work myself, I am shade tree wrench monkey at best. I work two jobs ( I am retiring at 50 while I am still able to enjoy my retirement) so I dont have alot of extra time, and money is really not a hugh issue.

SO with all that said, does anyone have any input to help further my decision as to which shop to bring it to ?

Here is what I am presently thinking....................

Hennessey is over priced for what you actually get, but their name is well known throughout the US. Not that I am ever gonna sell my car, but I think the Hennessey badging and serial numbered parts will increase and hold the value of my ride over the years.

Fastlane is offering way more bang for the buck !! Meaning I can get the exact same package brining the car to a few HP over 600 for about 4 grand cheaper.

The only clear advantage I see for using Hennessey, is the name they have for themselfs and the race track they have behind their shop !! That could be hella fun to run a few passes on !!! Anyways, I am going to have all this done in the next 90 day and would like a lil input from you guys !!

I will be posting a few shots of my car later tonight. I know I am a noob to the boards.............but help me out !!!

Laters,

JB

All I know is that they are well known for screwing their customers badly. Do a few searches on here and the Viper forums and you will see. Stay far away from Hennessey.

Go with the Fastlane turbo! I have heard nothing but GREAT reviews! Just be careful going too high above 600rwhp on the stock block!

600 rwhp or 600 crank? ive seen alot of cars already, with just a cam package and a blower that have more than 600 rwhp and running the stock block.

Re: Fast Lane or Hennessy ???

The boys at fast lane have me sold on the turbo, I rode in one of their camaros that is a daily driver and he's had the turbo on for over a year, 20,000 miles he claims. He's pulling low 12's and 121mph across the line. The car is awesome. I'm just waiting to the end of the year to sell stock to avoid tax penalty this year and will do the same. Also adding 1,000 hp axels and the stock clutch won't hold up to 600 hp for sure. I fell pretty confident with this arrangement we can smoke the vet's easy, maybe not the ZR1 without a few more modifications but I'm pretty sure the Z06 and standard package will fall....
