Just wondering we are going on vacation and will be renting a car in norcal driving to socal, was thinking a new vert but have 2 car seats to deal with. trunk space is not an issue. I fit both seats in my 4th gen pretty easy, not long trip comfortable at least on the wifes side but thought the 5th gens might have more back seat room??

 

I am not sure I follow...you and the wife will be in the back seat and want to know how comfy it will be?

 

No I was wondering if car seats(the kind for children....) would fit and if the front seats would allow a 6'2 adult fit.

 

They should, Chris Frezza has a kid seat in his 2010. It might be a tight fit.

 

It depends on the size of the kids and the driver. I've got an 8 year old that sits behind me (no seat) and a 3 year old in a seat behind my wife. So far our longest rides all together have 1.5 hour trips to visit family in VA and there were no complaints about space. I've got long legs and normally keep the seat all of the way back but I pull it forward a little and raise the front edge for my son to have a little space and still be comfortable.
In fact, the day I bought the car my wife got in behind the salesman and my oldest son behind me as we drove it from my house back to the dealership to get the paperwork done.The leather in the seats has a little give so it's actually a bit more spacious than it appears (just a bit).

 

If you were able to fit both seats in your 4th Gen, then you shouldn't have any problems in a new Camaro. I have a car seat in my 2010 Camaro for my 3 year old, however it's only one car seat and behind the passenger seat.
