Hey guys, my mom has 2010 SS with a 6 speed. Its all bone stock. The issue we are having is a rattle like sound coming from the right muffler. At an idle to can hear it from time to time. When we rev it up to about 2000 you can hear it. Its like a high pitch rattle sound. I was thinking maybe something got into the muffler itself?? Or maybe something was loose around there. Any ideas guys??? thanks

Sorry to hear about the rattling noise on your mother's 2010 SS. I'm sure that is a displeasing experience that's occurring. I am thinking that something came loose inside the muffler.

It is definitely inside the muffler?

 

I will check on the VIN. And I was thinking the same about something loose inside the muffler. As far as I can tell thats where the sound is coming from. If so we will probably have to order a new muffler right?? I told her this was a perfect time to upgrade that stock exhaust, but I dont think shes going for that.

 

Convince her! lol

If it's out of warranty either live with it or slap on a nice new system.
