2010-14 L99 Camaro lifter life.

I still own my old '95 Z, but want to buy a newer automatic Camaro soon. My concern is the life of those odd lifters, will they last to over 100,000 miles? Or, will one start tapping loudly in the early life? Does programming out the disp on demand feature extend engine life? I heard that the lifters are failure prone, so if not true at all, what are some guidelines to maximize their life? thanks , edman.

Wow, nobody wants me to upgrade do they? I know the stick shift cars are the better, but driving so cal freeways would make it a chore! I have not heard any positives about the L99 from you guys, have I?

I don't think it's a matter of anyone not wanting you to update. It's more the fact there are virtually zero active 5th Gen owners on the site. At this point, there are a few diehard LT1 fans trying to keep the site alive.

Sad, but that's the way it is.
