Yenko s/c sighting,

My son and i saw this car coming home from the K.C. airport in late july. It had dealer plates on it so im guessing it was a dealer trade. The guy driving was willing to run it hard as we ran them up to 135mph. I was a bit disappointed it its perfromance: I have a 94 Z-28 with full bolt ons and this car did not walk me at all. at 135 he had me by only 30 to 40 yards.

But this is by far the coolest 10 camaro i have seen, i love the orange with black yenko stripes.

forgive me if i did not attache this photo correctly. I'm an idiot..lol

Is this car really a Yenko? If so what company is doing this for the late great Don Yenko?

Curt

Looks like the Yenko Sportscar Club doing their own 2010 "Yenko." It's mentioned on this thread here:

http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/show...0/fpart/1/vc/1

The guy mentions an orange pilot car, and he's from Missouri. So I'd guess that is it.

Love the way that the camera distorted the rear wheel. That looks awesome!

30-40 yards = 90-120 feet. The 5th gen is 190.4 inches long, or roughly 15 feet. You got beat by 6-8 car lengths.

thats cool!

I wonder if they will have any issues using the Yenko name.

Saleen did a "Parnelli Jones" Mustang because Ford still owned the Boss name.

Thats my understanding as well.

If you look at the old Yenkyo's the hood and head rests have

"sYc"

which I believe stands for

Yenko Super Car
