Personally I think this is garbage - just like their 'vette pics. But let's assume they're right WHY would GM wait until 2011 for a Pontiac built off Camaro? If the idea is to market the Pontiac with the Camaro, the delay would be suicide. And if GM isn't looking to joint market Camaro and Trans Am as siblings (and I'd bet a LOT at this point that they're not), then the reason for the Pontiac car to be called "Trans Am" goes away.
And although a two year offset isn't bad, they'd be taking sales away from Camaro just as it's hitting the road.....which is exactly the "help" Camaro doesn't need. Nevermind that Pontiac needs good products now - not in 2011.
The whole premise of this article just sounds SO preposterous to me......and believe me, I want a Trans Am in the WORST possible way and even I can't bring myself to believe this junk!

The only thing that I will give WR is the picture of the "KING CORVETTE" in their spy pics. It does look like a true shot of the Z** Corvette sitting in a shipping area. Go check it out and tell me what you think. It does look authentic.
As for the TA speculation, I think that Lutz has said that if the Camaro is a SMASHING success, that there MAY be other options with the platform, but that it WILL NOT be badge engineering again. 2011 is so far away given the state of Detroit auto building who knows what could happen.
We might be looking at the Hybrid 2011 Chevy Cuda by then
