I do think the headlights on all the cars weve seen are RS configurations. I do not think they are ALL V6 configurations. Your thoughts?

Maybe the lack of scoop on the front of the hood, perhaps?

You think the Scoop will define V8 and not differentiate the Z/28 from the SS?

The headlights, big wheels, gauge cluster, leather seats are all part of the RS package. We haven't seen a V8 because none of the three cars have SS badges. Even the cut away cars are V6s. I think GM is trying to save the trump card for Monday.

Exactly. All we have seen are V6 cars, no V8 cars yet.
SS cars will probably be shown on Monday, with SS wheels. Pretty much we have seen everything outside of the RS headlights, and even then we saw them on the Vert.
I guess that all SS cars will have the RS package, or is it possible that RS package will mean that it gets the headlight treatment while standard SS cars are regular halogen/reflector headlights?
We will see Monday.

The first problem I have with that is you seem to be saying the RS is a package only for the V6. I dont think that is accurate and I have a feeling we have seen RS SS cars but I have a feeling we have not seen the non RS headlights.

This is the way I see it, this could be the what we see now...

V6 RS no Scoop at all Front spoiler does not extend to the sides of the car.

LS3 SS RS concept scoop, front spoiler runs the full width of the front. Or does this one not having the halo mean it isnt RS?

LS3 SS RS Convertible concept scoop, front spoiler runs the full width of the front

Bumble bee/ may or may not be Z/28 I dont remember the headlights so I dont know if Bumble bee is an RS Z/28

Whats wrong DAKMOR????
I am just posting what I have seen... I don't remember the original post saying "only Camaro Team members may post a response." If you don't agree, feel free to post why.

Not saying that at all... an SS may get the base headlights and require the RS package to get the HIDs. One of the car site articles listed those things are part of the RS package. I know they aren't the most reliable source, but its all we have to go on until Monday.

They have also only shown the most basic colors so far, saving the "special" ones for Monday.

We have seen the tried and true: Red, Yellow, Black, White, Silver.

They said there 10, so that leaves 5 for Monday. I'm guessing:

Bear HUGGER ORANGE
Get your GUNMETAL GRAY
Reach for the SKY BLUE
Gan-GREEN
Navy BLUE-by-you

Its been stated that you'll be able to tell the cars apart (V-6 vs V-8) without badging. I take that to mean there will be something obviously visual...my bet is on the spoilers and hood scoop.

I would think that any SS would have SS badging regardless of whether or not it had an RS package (the possible exception being an RS/SS badge). The only shots I've seen of an SS badged car have been the ones for that new TV show.

I think this may be an RS SS convertible. No badging... yet.

LS3 SS RS Convertible concept scoop, front spoiler runs the full width of the front

compared the V6

Bumblebee is a GTO.

I'll be a little disappointed if the little front scoop is the only differentiating feature the Z28 has. Not as if I could afford even a V6, but still.

None of the official photos have SS badges, and the SS is the reg. V8 model.

We have seen pictures of an SS, though, just not official ones. The ones from the TV show. And that had the little front scoop and SS badges.

Edit- I was arguing the case that there were no V8's in the official shots. I thought you were saying there were. D'oh.

I like the V6 nose, nice and clean - still not sold on the rear end, but the front and side profile are very good looking.

2 cars in the last movie. The 3rd was the silver concept. Dont know this one is for Transformers 2 or not, doesnt seem like they would need to use GTO bodies... and even if it is thats irrelevant. If Z/28 may have bumble bees hood may not. I hope not...

Whats an official shot? The convertible (what I think may be an SS RS) is on the chevy web site

http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro/

Anyway... I have a feeling the SS tell tale signs are the concept ram air and pronounced front spoiler... And I think it may be an RS SS in the convertible pic Thought it was cool, and wanted to point it out.

Could be wrong.
