I got it. You'll have to agree. The concept's front end looks like an owl.

Borrowed from HERE Camaro concept:

The more I look at the owl picture, the more I'm inclined to agree. Even so, the front end is actually growing on me. It is/was my only gripe against the concept, too. Still buying.

At least an owl is a step up from a catfish!

Just for the record... I own an 02 SS and still find the similarity funny.

Owls are bad asses. Imagine the camaros front doing a 360 as it lines up against a mustang. scary.

I thought it was more like 'Thomas the Train'.

Cool Re: Why the concept's front end doesn't look right...

I have to disagree. The front end looks great IMO... more attractive than the C6. The concept front end has a lot of character - the mini cowl makes the car look powerful, the car a has mean scowl and none of the me-too gaping catfish mouth syndrome that seems to affect a lot of new dseigns. The headlights are nice design - I like the way they do resemble owl eyes.... all the better for spotting prey... namely Mustang and Challenger . I presume they're fancy projector headlights (so won't make it to the final design due to cost). Even that grill and gunslit scoop have grown on me. I'd be quite happy to see that front end make it to production totally unchanged. Oh yeah, owls are neat too...

Re: Why the concept's front end doesn't look right...

When I saw the front end, it didn't remind me of any animals, or fish, or birds like the late 4th gens looking like a catfish. I was going to wait and buy a '98 Z28, but when I saw what the new nose looked like, I quickly ordered my '97 while I still could.

The new Camaro front ends looks great, spirited and aggressive.

What's wrong with the Front End look???? It looks like it's got a aggressive mean look more than looking like an owl. But if it looks like an owl, so!!!! An owl is a silent stealthy hunter that comes up on it's prey unsuspected. It'll do the same thing to the Mustangs (Provided GM builds it!!!!).

While I can see the Owl in the front end, I don't see it as a negative at all. I absolutely love the car, from headlights to tailpipes. The front end is perfect in my book! A great combo of old and new.

I feel a better reference would be something like "Evil personified"
