I haven't sold my '95 Z28, but I do plan on selling my '01 Tahoe LT and one of my '67 Camaros. If after selling those two, gas prices continue to soar, I may trade in either my '95 Z28 or my '02 Tahoe LS on new sedan that gets better fuel mileage. However I have other needs that I should address before that... like a new driveway and a new floor in the kitchen.

My wife thinks I'm nuts talking about buying a new car now. I owe two more payments on the '02 Tahoe, and then its paid off, and she thinks I should save up towards a new Camaro in 2009-10.

If you're sure you're going to buy a 5th gen, know that the 4th needs to go in order to do that, can live without a Camaro for a couple of years and have a great offer on the table it seems logical to me to sell.

As much as I love my Camaros, if I was offered significantly more for one of them than the market dictates, there's a very good chance I would accept, otherwise, they'll both be sticking around until I have my 5th gen, then I'll decide my next move.

I'm keeping mine until I don't have to pay for a nanny. My boy is 9 m/o. We'll probably keep the nanny until he's 3 or so, then it's pre-school for him, camaro for me.

I thought you were no longer interested.

Actually, the LS1 M6s get better gas mileage than my LT1 A4... Hmmmm....

Isn't this question a little pre-mature? The car won't be available for 2 more years, and after following what happened with the Mustang on it's release, you'll have to pay considerable market adjustments, or get very lucky to own one the 1st year anyway. Realistically, unless you have an 'in', or are willing to bend over and drop 'em, it's a 3 year proposition.

I sure as heck can think of ways to have fun for the next three years.

If you have a car you enjoy, enjoy it...selling it 2-3 years out because of what you 'think' may happen is a bit optimistic.

Not true. My dealer stands by his claim that he never marks any vehicle up over MSRP. As soon as I can custom order my 2010 Z28, I'll be making my down payment.

As does mine.... They have never charged over MSRP on a car, including the C6 Z06s.

Believe it or not, there are dealers out there that value you as a customer more than the short term gain of a few dollars.

We have no current plans to sell either of our Camaros. The Corolla though... it may be on its way out to a new owner when the time comes!

Market dictates it around here, glad to hear there are dealers that are willing to sell at MSRP...but, I'm not counting any chickens before they hatch...just ask the Mustang guys how many dealers 'said' they would until they had people lining up with cash...more than a few got screwed. Not saying your dealer will, but it happens.

My baby is staying home! Shes a 95Z, did to much work to it. But the best thing I did is that it is a collectore car now for the past 2yrs. The insurance i pay now is peanuts. This way now I am thinking about an 09.
