I suspect that if they are not opened from the factory for whatever reason, Camaro owners will find a way...they always do.

The front slit will be non-fuctional. I'm sure the aftermarket will address that.

If that's the case, why have a slit in it at all?

That would be OK too. I hate stuff on my cars that's obviously just for show. It should at least pretend to be functional, like a spoiler.

I really, really hope you're wrong.

Is this some kind of sick joke? Gotta balance out all that retro with a modern fake scoop i guess. And i'm sure they'll just slap it on every trim level too, gotta make sure to not differentiate your special models at all you know.

Seems like the grill/headlight opening would just make the area at the tip of the hood a low pressure zone anyway...

The concept's wasn't functional, either. Was it? Niether are the G8's.

But both look damn good to me. In other words, while it won't be functional - I hardly think it's going to be terribly obvious.

Nope, it's true.

It'll be on the SS.

You know this for a fact? Seems silly to put an indentation there and not bother opening it up especially for the V8.

I thought that was where the Knight Rider light was supposed to go.

That's an absurd comparison. The console gauges are functional. While you may they think they aren't practical, that doesn't mean they aren't functional. A front slit that isn't open just adds aerodynamic drag where it really isn't needed. It would look cleaner without it.
