Where is your purchase-o-meter pegged?
Didnt vote because the poll is skewed to u either blindly love it or various levels of dissapointment .
The exterior I love , I can base an honest opinion there . That interior , while the layout and shapes are probably pretty set in stone ...the things I disslike most about it are either make shift stand ins ( like the center stack with the taped in commodore upper dash screen) , early engineering prototypes ect. so I cant form a opinion . A production centerstack , gauges , console , trim , surface texture and materials could dramatically change the appearance of its current state .
Sooo ...I like alot of what I see , and theres things I dont like . Im not dissapointed and Im not jumping for joy either . Guess we'll see when a less cobbled together see the light of day .

Pics of mules/prototypes are seen everyday, even enthusiast cars which people care alot about. Corvette, Mustang, Challenger - you name it. I can't really remember any appreciable volume of disappointment with any of those, and I remember some pretty hacked up mule pics.
Anyways, I'm still holding out to see the final product. But alot of what I've seen so far is not stirring my soul, for me to say anything else would be lie.

If that is going to be the interior of the Camaro I can't say for certain I will buy it. I'm leaning towards no.
I was really looking forward to a Camaro with a modern interior like the Corvette, Malibu, G8, etc. Not the retro theme they chose.
I also wanted paddle shifters.
There are aftermarket companies that build paddle shifters so I will more than likely keep my 4th gen and drop in an LS3 and 6 speed auto.
Unless the G8 GXP steps up in horsepower.

The quirky antenna is the only thing I've had a non-positive reaction to. Who knows if that's production or not--and I can even live with it if it is.
Nonetheless... it's interesting to see, the vast majority are in the 'buy' column anyway
Convertible yes. Hard Top no.
While I am excited about the new Vert coming and like the looks of the hard top, I am holding out for the rag top. If they can make the cloth roof like on my 4th gen instead of that cheap crap on the mustang. If I can get a V8 vert for 35k or under they will have a sale in my book.

...I've been cruising alot of different sites the past couple of days, and the negative remarks are a pretty high percentage, I'd say even the majority, (make that nearly unanimous on the non-GM sites), if we're referring to the interior. It's safe to say that is more than just my personal opinion....

I have to disagree with the basic premise/legitimacy of this poll. "after the spy pics"? First off, this comment constitutes a 'push poll' technique, asking someone to decide based on one (naturally the polltaker's favorite) issue. Secondly, referencing pix that are by their basic nature flawed and inaccurate... well that's bound to yield a skewed result as well.
Nonetheless... it's interesting to see, the vast majority are in the 'buy' column anyway

"After the spy pics" is right NOW. That is the whole point here. What we might feel NOW. After we've looked through the prism of all the prototype pics.
Why don't you get that?
And you're right, the majority here, seem to not be negatively affected by all the pictures....

I seldom disagree with you. But here, I do take exception. You can make a good case that the OP's statement is 'technically' correct. But it's far more difficult to make the case, that peoples' posted disappointments about the interior are well-based in fact. Many of the posted disappointments are colored by the fact that those pix are not accurate depictions of what the new production Camaro will be. So saying there's been 'a certain level of disappointment' is a misleading and inaccurate statement. Are there people who only want a modern, mainstream, interior in the new Camaro? Yep. Are they going to be disappointed? Maybe. Or maybe, once they try out a real 2010 Camaro on the road, they will change their mind... but making any claims about disappointments today, with 'certainty', is wildly premature.

Anyway, you always have little tolerance for any healthy discussion which doesn't gush about all things GM, and that's your right.
But......."don't be surprised when some make uncomfortable observations".
