when will jada toys lose exclusivity to the concept?
does anyone know when jada toys will no longer be the only ones making camaro concept models?. The reason i ask is im dying to have a hobby grade 2010 or concept camaro rc car.I have the 1/8 scale from jada ,but im talking from a place like HPI or Traxxas .

Jada isn't the only company who can make Camaro Concept scale toys and collectibles. We do one of our own right here at CamaroZ28.Com! No r/c cars, though.

I talked with HPI racing and Pro-line/Protoform just recently about either company making a 1/10 2010 Camaro or the 06 concept and this is what they mentioned to me.
HPI- We have discussed the possibility of the new Camaro, Challenger and a few other muscle cars i.e. charger, 03 cobra...as of this time we are currently not producing the bodies mainly due to a few reasons.
1. HPI mainly produces bodies of production cars, so when the new Camaro is about to launch say around oct/nov of this year HPI will have something, this is also if HPI gets the license rights to produce the body.
They could do the concept car as a body, but more than likely will wait until the production model shows up.
2. Since the Challenger will be out by May if not earlier, HPI will have a body around a month after the real car is produced most likely.
As for Pro-line/Protoform it was pretty much the same run down i got from HPI. They release bodies every 15th day of the month, so keep your eyes peeled toward the end of this year.
I agree that Jada toys did a decent job with the Camaro concept, but in all honesty I do not like it that much. The chassis are bad, the motors are anemic, the steering is plain and simple ancient and the car is not worth the $35.00, and the body isn't all that as far as realism. With the exception if you're gonna paint the body and make it a GIANT shelf queen. When HPI and Pro-line come out with their own versions of the new Camaro, this body will take the R/C touring car body scene by storm.
