What's needed now

A big thing to get the Camaro in production now would be a rwd Impala concept that could share platforms with Camaro. GM needs to build a real hot Impala. Anyone agree with me?

You're really late to that party, bub.

Use the search function.

We even know what the next Impala's styling is going to be influenced by.

Besides, Bob Lutz (GM's Product Chairman) has already all but blurted out that the next Impala and Camaro will share chassis.

Come on, now.... keep up!

Re: What's needed now

Do you want to know what's really needed?

After washing my 2000 SS for the millionth time today, the next gen Camaro really needs tail lights that don't trap water like a small lake then decide to release it 3 drops at a time after you have completely dried the vehicle! That's what's really needed!

The new Impala is stunning from what I have read. Ill feel better when I see it. Same basic Idea the camaro has new car with heritage styling cues. Sounds good to me.

Re: What's needed now

Are we 100% this car will be called Impala?

I know Chevy plans on having a FWD sedan still.....

I heard GM has been hesitant to call this new RWD sedan "Impala"....

Re: What's needed now

All i've seen so far is speculation. I'd love to see a hot Impala concept that puts the charger to shame. My point is if they havn't decided to build the Camaro yet, positive response from an Impala might seal the deal.

Re: What's needed now

The description I have read is 63/64 and 67 Impala cues with a modern look.. like the Camaro is styled. If thats true, they cant call it anything else but Impala. I cant wait to see this!!(and own one)

I knew that, but a certain someone mentioned to me that the Impala wouldnt leave FWD....

So I'm a little lost about this car...

When I asked about "Chevelle" I was pretty much told no...
