I'm going with bad *** & ... the coolest car Chevrolet has ever made.

I think this sums it up good.

Yesterday I drove the fifth-generation Camaro. Tested it, in fact. It absolutely hauls. Does powerslides, too. It has good brakes. And no live axle out back. It's the best value of the current pony cars. There's nothing this cheap that will run with it. And it comes in Inferno Orange Metallic.

2SS for $34k, fine, but the fact that you can't get a V8 for under $30k pisses me off.

It looks like a step up in quality from the 4th gen and other GM vehicles, but I HATE the retro styling.

I'm not a fan of the body style either, it's not bad, but eh. And I wish they would of went with the LS7. Then it would be worth the cost!

I like it (even the interior) and can't wait to see one in person.

With the cheapest 1SS being $36,995, and the 2SS at $40,995, it's too expensive for me.

I like most of it but hate the styling of the dashboard and gauges. Also, for a Chevy, its expensive, and that might put off some potential owners of that type of car. Seems like it is equipped with a good drivetrain and suspension and ought to be a good performer for a heavy car. I'm not in the market for one because of the cars I already have, and doubt I would buy one anyway. I hope to see some of them on the road this summer along with some of the new Challengers.

Hopefully the price will come down when the "New Car" novelty wears off.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I should get a Camaro or a Vette. I really like the exterior of the Camaro, but hate the interior. I really don't like how the stereo setup prevents an aftermarket NAV unit, the lack of HUD, and the big, flat dash. People said to see it in person before I decide, so I'm going to the auto show today and see it in person. If I still don't like it, I guess I'll have to get a Vette.

Life really sucks sometimes and you have to make sacrifices like having to get one of the finest sports cars available.

some of the pictures made me...iffy
i did however see, and sit in them at the auto show here last weekend and liked it very well

and for people complaining about price, look up the price of 4th gens when they were new. A 97 SS fully optioned was upper 30s
