How much will you mod yours.

Me, i plan on a Z/28 with.

1. Good engine setup, with:
-Cam,
-Headers,
-Intake
-Exhaust
-Retune.

2. Wheels, iForged, HRE, or maybe some Kinesis.

3. Maybe some exterior mods:
-Z/28 badges.
-Take all orange reflectors off and switch to clear.
-Probably nothing paint-wise, i like stock paint just fine.
-Some HID's if its not an option
-Tint (obviously)
-Some detailed Calipers(painted with small logo's like the Vette)
-And maybe a blackout grill between the tailights like the one in this picture:

I just plan to hump the tail pipes

I'm going to pick up the SS in convertible form. I don’t need the top model, 400+ will be plenty for me.

I will purchase some headers and get a throaty sounding aftermarket exhaust system, nothing too loud until I go WOT.

I'm going to order SOM but I think one fat black stripe down the middle of the hood and tail will look pretty good.

Maybe an aftermarket shifter and a nice dark tint too.

The motor will prob see a few basic bolt-ons but nothing special.....after I'm all done I think 450 to 460 hp is what I like to see (at the motor)

I may have the stock wheels painted black, but I'll have to make that call once I buy the car.

Really just here and there type stuff. After dropping over 30 grand on a weekend cruiser I don’t know how much I half left over to do anything major.

Nothing...
I'll be too busy driving the wheels off it to mod it. Just stoping for gas. Oh, i'll probably need new rear tires after the first week.

 

If I get an SS, probably open the exaust up and take it to every car gathering and cruise I can find...this car will just be gawked at..Black on black, etc...If it sits to high, probably lower it a bit. No mods for awhile until I see what kind of numbers people are pulling with what mods...

If somehow I get enough patience to wait for year two..z/28, maybe a pully change eventually (if supercharged) and take it to the track..500hp must be takin to the track ASAP. That car will just be to much fun. And countless trips to where a lot of 06+ mustangs gather some evenings.

 

I find it so funny how everyone just assumes that the SS will be the middle of the road and the Z will be top dog.

What if its the other way around?

 

1. Romp the **** out of the test drive car then by the one next to it
2. Put a nice set of headers and cat back on it.
3. Drive the MFing wheels off and look at the jaw drops

I am going to start setting back monthly payments now!

 

If it lands downunder, absolutely nothing. I'm gonna enjoy its virtues and maintain it's stock character... except for a mild edit, of course!

 

Having the first Z28 in town will be enough to satisfy me for a while.

Take the front license plate off, wax it, tint the windows, intake and exhaust, then who knows. I hope Chevy will have some nice wheel options I could go with right from the dealership. If GM has performance packages, I would definately go with those.

 

Cry tears of joy... and then liquidfy the tires (while listening to ACDC Back in Black as loud as the stock sound system will go) just to get it out of my system....... and then take it home after a stop for new tires, and start saving my money again so i can send the car to Chip FOOSE (WE all have dreams)

 

I'll give you a break since you're new around here.....

But let’s just say I'm not assuming anything on which model will be the top dog….

Any Chevy can be an SS only a Camaro can be a Z28
