Got this idea from CamaroZ282008 and didnt want to muck up the other thread. I dont like the other places BUT I think #1 would be awesome if possible! Id rather have backup lights around the outer ring than the grey plastic on the concept and on the preproductions.. Also fits into the flow of the car as though it was designed for them. I just liked it that much.

#1 would be ok, if it weren't for the fact that it would totally ruin the afterburner look.

How do you get a usable backup light if it is built into the ring?

I think it would flow with the rear lighting a little better than the current setup...but considering how far along we are I don't think this is the kind of thing that can be eaily changed.

Well I was hoping that replacing all 4 grey plastic rings with lights of the same shape would. This is one of those IF possible things. When I saw CamaroZ282008's post to me it just looked like it belonged if it could work. Better than anything Ive seen so far in my opinion.

Do you think it would? Im not saying it should be part of the brake light at all (at least not look like it) rather replace the grey ring around each light. Shift to reverse and what would be grey rings would be backup lights.

The location of them now definitely does not flow with the car. They keep restating the obvious fact that what we have seen so far is the prototype, so who knows... maybe they have a totally different rear for the production car that we haven't seen yet. Scott has already hinted that at least the bottom fascia that we have been seeing is not final.. so who knows.

I wonder if with the mufflers so close to the rear bumper they had to put the backup lights so high to avoid the heat. Or just the packaging in general in that area. Right now it looks like the bulbs are replaced through the trunk - any lower and you'd have to go between the bumper and the muffler.
