Exterior style is the pull....but man when you drive it over a rough road....Chassis engineering(IRS, ZETA, No twist in body, NO squeaks, and no harshness or thump thump on bad bumps) becomes the push...the car is absolutely, ROCK solid. I you drive one daily you get it....

Wow! Seems I think alot like the members that voted before me. The exterior styling on these cars is undeniably HOT!

I think that GM Powertrain should absolutely continue refining the engines they develop. Not just for better power, but efficiency, drivability, versatility, reliability, NVH, etc.

I also think that the Camaro team should continue to equip the SS with the best mass-produced, naturally aspirated V8s that Powertrain has available. For as long as that's the L99/LS3, that's what Camaro should use, but as soon as there's something new, work should begin to put that engine in Camaro.

When the Gen5 small blocks come out, with direct injection and who knows what else (actually there was a thread about it recently, so we have some idea), I think Camaro should be one of the first recipients of that new engine. Do you disagree?
Disagree about the Camaro being one of the first recipients of the next gen. engine or new technology for the current engine no not at all. I just think that yes there is always room for improvement in the powertrain department and to never just settle however other aspects such as the interior need to be addressed first being that the 5th gen. is very competitive with 426 right now.
It out powers the mustang 5.0 not by much...the Challenger.
The 2012 Camaro with a new interior will probably get a few more ponies to match or beat the 6.4 coming from the slopar boys.

Easiest poll I've ever taken.

Most lopsided too.

94% exterior styling.

0 for interior and handling.

6% for powertrain.

I think that bears out the opinion I have of the Camaro.

1. The V6 is a steal (the SS doesn't have anything other than the engine over the V6).

2. The interior materials simply aren't up to snuff.

3. The front end needs better bushings and wider tires.

4. The Camaro isn't a light tossable "pony car", but an excellent well handling modern muscle car.
