Thanks for the head's up on that. Looking back I really never heard either way. I still stand by the exhaust/electrical system analogy though.

I agree that an exhaust (stock headers) shouldn't void anything. but with GM in a big money crunch (who isn't, right?) i can see them getting a little picky when it comes to warranty work. Maybe they'll be sending out specialist more often to check out the cars in question than before.

Wouldn't flying someone out to a random dealership, and paying for his room and board, be more expensive than most "questionable" warranty fixes like the hypothetical one presented earlier?

nope. most are local anyways.
